Blogsam and Jetsam

Flotsam is the part of the wreckage of a ship or its cargo found floating on the water. Jetsam is cargo or parts of a ship that are deliberately thrown overboard, as to lighten the ship in an emergency, and that subsequently either sinks or is washed ashore. This is my personal blog version of the above. Loot freely.

I'm annoyed that the world is going crazier faster than it used to be. But it's interesting to watch.

Something Visual

(...That's not too abysmal...)

The finished mittens for Eldest:

The finished glittens for myself:

They look like some sort of crustacean claw, don't they?

Just this evening I bound off the top of a small plain hat out of the rest of Ray's "Happy" yarn--two mittens and a hat from one skein! (Go buy some, y'heah?)

And also:

On Friday September 21 I chopped off every last bit of anything still blooming to make an impromptu bouquet. Damned if my bee balm didn't up and send forth three more new blooms which are only now starting to fade.

Behold: still blooming on Sunday, October 21, 2007 in Zone Freaking THREE.
